Boca do Lobo and COVETED Magazine have selected for the first time, an exclusive list featuring the most influent interior designers in the field. Coveted Magazine is the world´s ultimate source for luxury and design news. International top designers and opinion leaders share the secrets of their work and have, at the same time, an active voice through the expression of different points of view about the Design world.
The newest edition of the magazine, is expected to be launched at Maison et Objet Paris, counting on a special supplement developed by Boca do Lobo that features a curated selection of 100 Influential Interior designers. Take a look at the first 25 interior designers that you can find on this list!
1. AUTOBAN ARCHITECTS
Internationally renowned, Istanbul-based multidisciplinary design studio Autoban was founded in 2003 by Seyhan Özdemir and Sefer Çağlar, and later joined by Efe Aydar. Now employing 40 employees, Autoban works across architecture and interiors, product and experiential design, forging a reputation for thoughtfulness, experimentation and craftsmanship. Approaching each project initially as storytellers, their work seeks to understand the character and context of each project.
2. DENIS KOŠUTIC
Denis Košutic’s work can be seen as an anti-traditional perception of the role of architecture in the modern world. In his “prêt-à-porter-architecture”, he masterfully translates modern tendencies and trends from fashion and design into the language of everyday life, considering architecture as a subject of consumption instead of a monument for eternity.

3. GÉRARD FAIVRE
Gerard Faivre, recognised as one of the best contemporary interior designers, created the concept Gerard Faivre Residence, apartments and luxury properties completely renovated, furnished and decorated with fully integrated hotel services. To create an original work of art, Faivre imbues himself with the soul of each property. For him, each site is both a blank canvas and a source of inspiration.
4. LORENZO CASTILLO
Before venturing into interiors, Madrid-based designer Castillo trained his masterful eye as an antiquarian. His treasure trove of Old World finds is housed at his eponymously-named shop located blocks away from the Prado Art Museum. His insatiable appreciation for antiques and art energized with a contemporary flare for color and print has put him on the map as one of Europe’s most desirable designers.
5. TAYLOR HOWES
Karen Howes builds her successful design practice according to a specific vision: a positive, approachable and refreshing energy that not only produces great work but also ensures that clients enjoy the whole experience. Private clients, hoteliers and property developers flock there not just for the comprehensive design service, but also for the Taylor Howes brand of restrained glamour.

6. CHZON
Chzon is a global design agency founded in 2009 by Dorothee Meilichzon, specializing in hospitality design. The design studio has worked on over thirty projects in Paris, London, Ibiza, Monaco and New York, exploring different fields from interior architecture to the design of furniture and graphic elements. Hotel Paradis in Paris, Compagnie des Vins Bar in New York City and Experimental Beach Restaurant in Ibiza are just some examples of their emblematic projects. The designer launched her Chzon agency in 2009, establishing a name for herself with restaurant and bar projects such as Mojo in Paris and Experimental Cocktail Clubs in London and New York. Meilichzon’s intentions for her interiors have more to do with ambience than subscribing to styles or trends.
7. MIM DESIGN
MIM Design is an award-winning Melbourne-based studio, well known for its creativity, high-end finishes and attention to detail. Their main purpose and philosophy is to inspire clients with a finished project that goes beyond the expectations, producing unique and individual design results that not only reflect their clients or their brand but enhances also their lives.
8. STANISLAV OREKHOV
Studio of Stanislav Orekhov was established in 2002. They are developing and integrate into life interior design projects and commercial 3D visualisation. In addition, the team of studio shares the knowledge and experience in their personal Design School. Studio of Stanislav Orekhov is developing projects all over the world and ready to meet their clients at any time and any place.
9. NEAT
Neat Interior Design is committed to innovation in design, providing high-end interior design solutions. Their residential projects are focused on high-end luxurious interior designs that go beyond the beautiful and fundamentally how the clients would like to live, feel and function in their space. This level is for the discerning client who values luxury, customization and a high-level service.
10. ARRCC
ARRCC creates considered and engaging interiors at the leading edge of design. Working closely with their clients, they distill and transform their briefs to exceed original expectations. ARRCC believe in life-enhancing spaces that reflect both client and location, and through their refined approach to design, have developed a style focused on detail and substance.
11. MARCO VAN HAM
Marco Van Ham pushes creative boundaries with new aesthetic designs that blend passion and energy, based on the best architectural interpretation of interior design. He believes that the perfect interior should not only be great aesthetically, functionally and architecturally but should also inspire, enthuse, provide comfort and radiate tranquillity.
12. SYBILLE DE MARGERIE DESIGN
Sybille de Margerie has over 20 years of experience in interior design, and more than 20 collaborators that have been working with her on worldwide projects. What moves this interior designer is being creative with simplicity, modernizing tradition, add charm to technology, draw harmony and detest discomfort. This is their ambition.
13. THIERRY LEMAIRE
Initially trained as an architect, Thierry Lemaire soon showed a great interest in decoration and furniture creation. Today he carries projects out all over the world and is dedicated to Holly Hunt and FENDI Casa. We can also find his productions in the new FENDI’s Flagships.
14. PURPUR
PurPur has no design bids. Every new project is understood as a challenge, which is placed with bundled creativity and maximum impact. The PurPur team is well-trained and always committed to the philosophy of transform the common into something special.
15. JAIME HAYON
Spanish artist-designer was born in Madrid in 1974. After studying industrial design in Madrid and Paris he joined Fabrica in 1997, the Benetton-funded design and communication academy, working closely with the legendary image-maker and agitator Oliviero Toscani. In a short time, he was promoted from student to head of their Design Department. Eight years later, Jaime broke out on his own, first with his collections of designer toys, ceramics and furniture, later followed by interior design and installations.
16. DIMORE STUDIO
Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran invested in their individual experience with the profession and study of Design, Art and Fashion, and founded DIMORESTUDIO in 2003. They have designed and carried out every project in a personal and recognizable way: objects created by historical design masters live together with reclaimed materials and other “bespoke” objects to create and forge a particular atmosphere.
17. KELLY WEARSTLER
Kelly Wearstler Studio has grown from boutique interior design firm to global lifestyle brand. Driven by the signature aesthetic and idiosyncratic spirit of its creator and namesake, the Los Angeles-based company boasts a diverse range of modalities, taking an all-encompassing approach to design that includes everything from residential and commercial.
18. PATRICIA URQUIOLA
Patricia Urquiola was mentored by some of the giants of Italian industrial design such as Achille Castiglioni and Vico Magistretti. She learned her craft in Italy and opened a studio in Milan in 2001. Her designs are unconventional, flexible, and experimental, blending humanist sensibilities and technical expertise—qualities that also inform her work as an architect.
19. PETER MARINO
Peter Marino, one of the top interior designers in the world, the principal of Peter Marino Architect PLLC, is an acclaimed architecture and design firm founded in 1978 and based in New York City. Marino’s designs can be characterized by emphasized materiality, texture, scale light and the constant dialogue between interior and exterior.
20. CHAMPALIMAUD DESIGN
Champalimaud Design is known for creating some of the most renowned hotels and restaurants in the world. As the company expanded, Alexandra decided to relocate to New York City in 1994 to serve a thriving international client base and changed its name to Champalimaud in 2008. Since its inception, the firm has been privileged to partner with many landmark hotels and residences globally.
21. TSAO –MCKOWN
Partners Calvin Tsao and Zack McKown have adapted their sensuous vision of modernism to projects of vastly different types and scales, always with an emphasis on materials’ emotional as well as aesthetic qualities. “Our inspiration resides not in the grandiose and the monumental but in larger existential questions, and in focused observations of the sensual, the tactile, the unexpected”, they say.
22. DENIEUWEGENERATIE
Denieuwegeneratie translation = bright, young & talented. The design office founded in 2008 is based in Amsterdam and consists of 3 founders, Sanne Oomen, Oscar Vos & Thomas Dieben. They characterise themselves as neo-idealists, who are constantly searching for strategies in sustainable design and the transformation of existing, structural flexibility, design modularity and temporal design.
23. SHH LONDON
Creating elegant spaces, brimming with personality, each project is an opportunity to create something astonishing & unique. Whether it’s a striking new-build home for an international client or hospitality suites in a legendary sporting event, a project’s starting point is always the client.
24. CHRISTIAN LIAIGRE
Christian Liaigre, a French designer is internationally recognised by his works for such clients as Calvin Klien, Karl Lagerfeld, and Louis Vuitton. He now brings to Bangkok his furniture designs sold exclusively through Chanintr Living. Mr. Liaigre’s interior design has won considerable acclaim for his attention to detail, exacting quality and original designs for every project.
25. JORGE CANETE
Jorge Cañete is a Swiss interior designer, born in Geneva and of Catalan and Andalusia origin. Canete’s work is more than a job, is way of living. Materializing emotions that come from a poetical vision of the world, this interior designer is able to create unique spaces and a sense of belonging.
