The biannual lifestyle trade show Maison et Objet Paris, taking place from 2nd to 6th of September, has several major updates and additions to its fall calendar this year. Held at the Paris-Nord Villepinte convention centre in Paris, this design event attracts around 70,000 visitors and 3000 international brands. Boca do Lobo team is already on the set up for a new adventure through the world of luxury furniture and contemporary design. Read on and find out What’s New for Maison et Objet.
Metamorphosis Dining Table has come to symbolize the evolutionary history of life, representing the last stage of the cycle through the usage of sculpted fossils on display at the top of the table. It also represents the effort made by our designers to questioning the existence of things, by answering a simple and basic question: “How can we define something as living?”
Textiles join the Maison hub
For the Fall 2016 edition of the fair, decorative textile brands will, for the second year, join the home decor hub, with high-end linens and a selection of other textile brands joining together in two separate areas this season to promote visibility: The “Elegant” section (the entrance of Hall 4) and “Complements” (the centre of Hall 5A).
Trend-setting through design
The trend-focused section of the fair, located in the Objet hub, has grown for this season (now expanding from Hall 6 — the largest hall at the convention centre — into part of Hall 5A). The five hubs exhibiting the predicted design trends for the upcoming seasons are: Cook+Design, Easy Living, Kids, Fashion and Beloved.
The launch of a new hub: Influences
The new Influences hub (Halls 7 and 8) will celebrate its inauguration with a special focus on exclusivity for Fall 2016. Brands from sectors such as Lighting, Bath & Wellness and Outdoors will showcase their expertise and ideas for creating unique, high-end and exclusive designs.
You can experience all these new changes at this edition of Maison et Objet by attending this event. And of course, don’t miss the first day at Boca do Lobo Stand in Hall 7, G14 – H13.
