Baselworld is the world’s leading show for luxury watches, jewellery with a unique design, precious stones and related industries, where high-end brands will present their latest creations from the 21st to the 26th of March 2019, bringing abundantly of glamour to the exhibition halls.

During six days, Baselworld will receive more than 100,000 visitors and 4,000 journalists from all over the world. This remarkable show will open from 9 am and will close the doors at 6 pm. As a top event that raises the craftsmanship and the contemporary design of modern and stunning timepieces by luxury brands, this tradeshow is the exclusive platform on which the major watch and jewellery brands present the year’s innovations to an eagerly curious international audience.
Baselworld celebrated its 100th anniversary two years ago. It was born in 1917 as part of the Basel Mustermesse with 29 Swiss watch and jewellery brands, and today it is recognized as the world’s premiere show for watches, jewellery, gems, and related industry.
Things will be sparkling and gleaming again in Basel. For six days, around 700 luxury brands compete against each other with their imposing stands, delighting experts, international celebrities and watch and jewellery connoisseurs alike. However, there are some changes in the next edition. The Swatch Group made the decision to leave Baselworld this year. This show will match with SIHH in 2020 where the two major timepiece events will take place one after the other, making it easier for visitors attending both exhibitions. Another change will be the spotless craftsmanship of talented horologists that will come to life throughout the venue’s new showroom halls. And last and but not the least, the industry experts predict Seiko’s iconic Astron will be revamped in celebration of its 50th anniversary and is speculated to be unveiled at this event.
