London Craft Week is an event that combines various types of craftsmanship and was created in order to pay tribute to handwork and showcase the best of hand-made modern design pieces showcasing the best of the arts and crafts.
On May 9th, from 5pm – 9pm, The Portuguese Embassy in London, Boca do Lobo and Vista Alegre have the pleasure of inviting you to the Presentation Cocktail of the “Portuguese Crafts” Exhibition, a part of London Craft Week. The event showcases both Vista Alegre‘s porcelain, crystal and glass work and Boca do Lobo’s furniture design, a mix of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.

Boca do Lobo is a design brand, recognized worldwide by combining traditional craftsmanship techniques with contemporary design, so the Portuguese Embassy in London is celebrating the brand’s history by highlighting one of its most iconic pieces, the Once Upon a Time Pixel Cabinet.

This exclusive event during London Craft Week will also feature other iconic Boca do Lobo‘s pieces, such as the Equator Globe Bar, the Emporium Chair, and the Nº11 Dining Chair.
The exhibition of luxury design will take place since the 8th to the 10th of May, and of the 9th there will be a drinks reception, demonstration, and open house, where master artisans will demonstrate their craft during a cocktail reception.

Japanese Ceramic Painting with Artist Miyu Kurihara

During London Craft Week hear London-based Japanese ceramic artist Miyu Kurihara discuss her career and try your hand at painting a piece of Miyu’s ceramics, handmade using traditional techniques.
Over 240 masters from all over the world that specialize in ceramics, woodworking, textiles, metalworking, jewelry, or other areas, will be brought together from 8-12 April this year under the same idea of presenting their creativity, skills, and talent.
London will then transform into a place where unique stories will be told and exclusive contemporary design items will be displayed.
