One of the Best Interior Designers and French architect Jean-Louis Deniot, has crafted an extensive collection for Baker featuring 80 new pieces. Inspired by 20th-Century vintage furnishings, and with a nod to the grand presence of aristocratic and luxury décor, Deniot curates with his signature elegant balance and flirtatious wit.
Here, Deniot discusses the process of designing the line, which includes furnishings, accessories, lighting, and upholstery. Deniot drew inspiration from a range of eras, taking cues from both 20th-century furniture and formal luxury interiors.
True to his architectural background, the collection’s silhouettes are geometric, sculptural and show stopping. The dining table blends South American mahogany, wood veneer inlays and metal, sensationally proportioned at 110 inches.
His crescent-shaped tight-backed bench sofa clocks in at 99 inches long, with a mahogany base and legs tipped in brass with different finishes.
