With renewals by Madrid-based architect Ignacio García de Vinuesa and interior designer Elisa Rodríguez, this luxury house is the ideal accumulation of old and new. The design team conserved the original design features, from the inner doors to the polished plaster, and filled the decor of modern furniture. The finishing technique involves a collection of contemporary art.
The primary concern for Ignacio Garcia de Vinuesa in redecorating this luxury house was to save the value and embellished architectural details. To not affect its essence. Ignacio and Elisa Rodriguez were settled on keeping the ornate crown frames, tall ceilings and woodwork in this luxury house to then enhance it with contemporary art and suitable and elegant luxury furniture. They also reused the artistic old doors after replacing the whole design of the house.
Aside from the astronomical entry hall, the kitchen also has a spotlight, with its rich wood cabinetry and traditional plasterwork. Though a contemporary space, it’s warmed up by artwork, organic accessories and a quirky Serge Mouille light fixture.
The master bedroom is similar to a contemporary furniture showroom, starring pieces by KA International, Philippe Starck, and Ligne Roset. The walls are wrapped with a braided vinyl and raw silk.
The colors punctuate the decoration with classic and masculine footprint, giving life and movement.
