Boca do Lobo loves Nacho Polo, an inspired dreamer and passionate designer. From Madrid, Nacho was born with the passion for art and he believes it was the destiny that bought him to the world of design and interior design which he dedicates his life to.
His projects are stunning! Obsessed with the many shades of white, the Spanish native Nacho Polo works with a select few clients in the U.S., Europe and Asia to create intimate, exclusive residential and commercial interiors.
Through Nacho, every interior tells a unique story, a visual and sensorial story that only can be told this one time in this one way. Every home is a new exploration of mood, size, scale, relationship and content. Among the residences that have caught the eyes of international press and design aficionados are the houses and apartments he has designed for himself.
Having captured the imagination of design lovers in Europe, where he was the Creative Director of a major design firm, Nacho decided to move to Miami Beach and open his own design company: Nacho Polo, Studio of Architecture and Interior Design. Nacho is the Creative and Project Director and his company’s services include Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture Consulting, and Object Design.
Nacho’s award-winning interiors and object designs, such as his ‘Twenty-Seven’ mirror, ‘Six’ cube and ‘Fifty’ cabinet, have been published in leading design and lifestyle magazines, including Architectural Digest, Vogue, Interior Design, Elle Deco, Casaviva, and House Beautiful among others. His work has been published in six books, including 150 New Apartment Ideas printed by Harper Collins Publishers, and Brilliant: White In Design printed by The Monacelli Press in the U.S.
He is an architecture and interior design lover which gives equal weight to exterior as well as interior spaces. By balancing and merging these two concepts, his projects create an impressive final result.
Nacho is inspired by his day to day, anything that catches his attention at any given time can be a source of his inspiration. His mind is in constant and permanent moment of creation; not only at a professional level, but also on a personal level:
“I’m always looking to create a fresh piece of design, at times something as simple as capturing the attention of a friend, creating a surprise or creating new dishes in the culinary arts. I am inspired from the gentle smile of a flight attendant offering more champagne or in a transoceanic trip or from the color of some playful swimwear trunks children wear in a wonderful day in Miami Beach, or watching the old weathered wooden tables by the passing of the years in a small cafe in Paris or seeing the models parade the latest creations at the Custo Barcelona Fashion Week NY! My mind never stops creating in any situation and place, in one extreme or the other!”
