When we talk about architecture, it’s inevitable to talk about Greg Lynn, the master behind astonishing architectural works for the best architecture museums such as CCA, ICA Chicago and MoMa.

A genius who unfolds himself in various professions, all interconnected: he is both professor of contextual architecture, architect, philosopher and science-fiction author.

Among his many contributions to architecture, he particularly was an innovator in redefining the medium of design with digital technology as well as pioneering the fabrication and manufacture of complex functional and ergonomic forms using CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machinery.

He has been the responsible for the acceptance and use of advanced materials and technologies for design and fabrication due to his projects, publications, teachings and writings associated with his office. His extended projects make harder our goal to highlight his best works.

Among his magnificent buildings conceptions, it lays World Trade Center Design, Atlantis Sentosa Resort, BMW Central Building, Eye Beam Museum, Stranded Sears Tower and St Gallen Kunstmuseum. As you can quickly understand, all his projects obey to a unique characteristic: grandiosity. It is also unavoidable to refer his work titled “Advanced Architectural Design Studio”, in partnership with Brennan Buck (Spring 2009).

The majesty of the project – a facade that would reference the contrasting of the Baroque in the Piazza while creating a new monument for Rome – made it also relevant.

His work is in the permanent collections of the most important design and architecture museums in the world including the CCA, SFMoMA, ICA Chicago and MoMA.
